A Very Short History of the Westerly Morris Men
Peter Leibert founded the Westerly Morris Men in 1974. We traveled to England in 1980 and 1983, to Scotland in 1987, and to England again in 1994. There is more to be found at the resurrected original web site created by former squire Terry Crandall in 2005.
| Speaking of former Squire Terry Crandall, on March 3, 2022, this talented videographer released his historic documentary video of the cliff-top Vernal Equinox festivities on Lantern Hill in North Stonington, CT, on March 20, 1995. Among the 90 people in attendance were late dancers Wally Fenn and George Utter, both dancing very well. Plenty of young people and dark beards. Also, uberfan Anne Nalwalk, who has attended this event since the very beginning and has probably been to more of them (including the more recent "road shows") than anyone else.
